Week of October 29- November 2

Language Arts
•Word Wall Words- brown, and
*Handwriting- v, w, t
•Brown song
•Ending Sounds and Vowels
•Journal writing- focusing on the small moments. 
*Use a capital letter, spaces between words and punctuation in our sentences.
*We can make predictions and retell a story.
*Story retell- Itsy Bitsy Spider and Little Miss Muffet
**Guided Reading:  skills vary from group to group.  Please check your child's word wall ring in their folder to see their current words.
*We will make a flip book of first, next and last
*Complete a sentence about Little Miss Muffet by changing it to our names and what we would eat
*Cut apart a sentence and illustrate the sentence by understanding what you read
*If I were a spider, I would... writing activity

Math
I can identify a pattern, extend a pattern, and create a pattern.
I can tell what will happen next based on problems.
*Counting to 50
*Number Writing, tally marks, coins (penny, nickel, dime)
*What number comes before and after
*Even and Odd numbers

spider: arachnid

abdomen: body part of a spider

spinnerets: part of the body the a spider uses to spin a web

pedipalps: part of the body of the spider that is used to feel and sense the world around them

eyes: part of the body used to see

legs: part of a spiders body that allows a spider to move

cephalothorax: head part of a spider

spiderlings- young spiders
