Language Arts:
Review Word Wall Words: am, are, be, for, have, said, they, up -ot, -at, -in, -an, -en families
Phonics rules: The Bossy "R" -ar, the pincher sound -ou, -ow, -oo, 2 vowel rule- when 2 vowels go walking the first one says its name and the second one is silent
Writing: We are working on adding more details to our writing. Example of how we teach the kids to form a complete sentence is in the previous post. I am encouraging them to write more than one sentence.
Reading: We have been discussing different types of text. Ask your child why we read? *informational text, fun, scary, funny
Math:
Problem solving using addition and subtraction
Sorting and Graphing
Counting and Writing to 100
Science:
I can observe the ways things move. (back and forth, up and down, zig zag)
