A look at the Week

Language Arts
•Word Wall Words- the and green

Handwriting- H, K, L, U

•GREEN song

•Rhyming words- hearing and identifying (Taking a closer look at the ending of the words)

•Journal writing- focusing on details of the character (hair, body and hands/arms)  Using beginning sounds and stretching out our words.

•We will continue to show how we choose a TOPIC to write about as well as go back and add to it (REVISE).

•My favorite color of apple is... class book.
•The students are working on making connections while listening to a story. We are also working on inferring while looking at a picture.  They are also working on re-telling the story using story re-tell cards from The Apple Pie Tree.

•Letters and Sounds and words that begin with those sounds

Math
•Vocab words: same, more

•I can count by ones to ten. I can describe the size of a set of objects up to five.
•Continue to work on subitizing using 10's frame
Counting objects 1 to 1

Science
•Vocab Words: sunny, overcast, foggy, rainy, snowy
•Comparing and describing the seasons and the weather that goes with them.
•Observe, graph and predict the weather
•Make a class big book of the weather
