Rhyming, Sorting and Our Five Senses
Language Arts
- Word Wall Words- I and red
- RED Color song
- Rhyming words- hearing and identifying
- Journal writing will begin as we focus on what is in the picture. Talking about how the picture tells the story. We will always include a character, setting and event.
- We will discuss how we choose a TOPIC to write about.
- Aliteration Class book will be made...C my name is Cami and I like Cookies
- The students will learn to re-tell a story including details with Brown Bear, Brown Bear, Little Blue, Little Yellow and Mouse Paint.
- Letters and Sounds and words that begin with those sounds
Math
- Vocab words: set, count, altogether and equal
- We will practice counting sets of objects as well as representing numbers with sets of objects.
- We will sort by attributes (color, size, shape, thickness, etc)
Science
- Vocab Words: See, hear, smell, touch, taste
- We will illustrate ways we can use our five senses while identifying which senses we use doing different things.
- We will make an eye color graph and compare the eyes in our class.
- We will listen and make predictions of things we hear.
