Happy Fall Ya'll!

We are ready for fall in Mrs. Patz's class!  Above we made fall leaves out of tissue paper art.

We have been working on syllables.  Above is our tree map of bat descibing words.  We clapped the syllables in each word!

This is a daily phonics activity we do in calendar.  This helps to identify vowels and consonants.  We also work on word building!

In Science, we made a list of living vs. non living!  They learned that living things need water, food, shelter and air.

We made a syllable book with our bat descibing words.  Each student wrote 3 sentences about their bat from the list of bat words on the tree map.

Share the pen!  The students did the teaching in science today!  They came up and drew different items on our T-chart.

Story Re-tell (There was an old lady who swallowed a bat!

In Math, we compared names.  Which name was longer, shorter or the same as my name??
