Language Arts
•Word Wall Words- can and purple
Handwriting- C, O, Q, G
•Purple song
•Syllables- Using a tree map to sort out describing words about bats and how many syllables they have.
•Journal writing- focusing on the words matching the pictures. We also used our sounds to stretch out words. Use a capital letter, spaces between words and punctuation in our sentences.
•We are working on adding to our stories. Character, setting, and event
•Concepts about print- title, author and illustrator
*We can make predictions and retell a story.
*We can count the number of words in a sentence.
*Story retell- There was an old lady who swallowed a bat.
*We made and wrote a book on Bat describing words while counting the syllables.
* I can infer the settings in a story.
*Guided Reading: Please make sure you are signing their folder each night. Review sight words, sounds/blends and book **Thank you!
*Used a circle map of things that have to do with Fall to make a fall tree full of fall words.
Math
•Vocab words: small, medium, large
•I can order quantities from least to most.
*I can use math words to compare sizes of sets.
•Continue to work on subitizing using 10's frame
Counting to 50
*Number Writing, tally marks, coins (penny, nickel)
*What number comes before and after
Science
•Vocab Words: living and nonliving
•Knowing that living things need water, air, food, and shelter
*Sort living and nonliving things
