Look what we've learned...Nov 5th-9th

Language Arts
•Word Wall Words- white, my
*Handwriting- a, d, g, u
•White song and Five Fat Turkeys
•Beginning and Ending sounds
•Journal writing- continue focusing on the small moments using our circle maps 
*Use a capital letter, spaces between words and punctuation in our sentences.
*We can make predictions and retell a story.
*Story retell-There was an old lady who swallowed a pie and There was an old lady who swallowed a bat
**Guided Reading: skills vary from group to group. Please check your child's word wall ring in their folder to see their current words.  I will put different activities in their folder from time to time.
*Write about what we could eat instead of a turkey.
*Compare and contrast two stories above using a double bubble map
*Cut apart a sentence and illustrate the sentence by understanding what you read
*Create a turkey/Indian with our 3rd grade buddies
*Writing a menu
*Writing our own Thanksgiving book
*Using a bubble map to describe a turkey and using a tree map to write sentences about the turkey.  Turkeys can, are and have ....

Math
