Making Chalk

We learned how to make chalk. After talking about all of the things that come from rocks, we learned chalk was one of those. The students participated in mixing the mixture of plaster of Paris and water. Then, observing how the liquid mixture turned into a solid very quickly! Ask your child 3 things that are made from rocks! Each student brought home their very own chalk.
