Poetry: Hibernation and Five Little Snowmen Poem
Word Work: five, go, do, have, like, friend
**Introduce -at word family and as a whole group make a list of words with the
same ending.
Use these words in sentences.
Number Handwriting: #6-9
Phonics: Practice blending syllables and saying the words.
For example mon key is the word monkey.
Writing Block: I can write a story for others to read. I can sort my writing into readable
and not readable.
We will review the components of a sentence: finger spaces, capital at the beginning
and periods at the end. Introduce the writing rubric. When students write at
their seats, they will reflect on their writing and put their clip on what stage
they think their writing is on.
Reading Block: I can use reading strategies to comprehend the book. Math: I can solve a math problem using strategies we've used in problem solving. (number line, act it out, use a 10's frame, make a plan, draw a picture, part-part-whole)
I will be completing Math assessments with your child.
