Math Overview to date

Math:

• We will continue to work on patterns. Using (AB, AAB, ABC, AABB, ABB) with colors, shapes and other items in the environment.
• You can help your child daily to see patterns in the world in the car, in your house, and on TV.
• We will continue to work on number sense.  We work through word problems daily.  We use a variety of ways to solve a problem.
• draw a picture
• act it out
• use manipulatives
• write a number sentence
• use a number line
• Counting to 50 and writing our numbers to 20.
• During calendar we work on counting by 5's and 10's
• Even and Odd numbers (ask your child the song!)
• Days of the week and Months of the year
