It feels like Fall!

In pocket chart center, we are working on rhyming words! 
Look for a class book coming home soon to show all the rhyming words we thought of.

We are working on the Blue song this week.  The color songs help the students to spell and identify the color words.



UPScheck-  This is what we use to help us solve a problem.  Ask your child to sing it for you.  UPS check, UPScheck, you can solve a problem with UPScheck.
U means understand, U means understand
What are the important things we need to understand?
P means to plan, P means to plan
We can find the thinking patterns when we make a plan.
S means to solve, S means to solve
Don't forget your number sentence when you solve!
Check means to check, Check means to check
Use a numberline or 10's frame when you need to check.
We do this daily in math to help us with solving word problems.  Try it at home--they LOVE it!
