This week we are working on writing acrostic poems. WOW! How exciting, they did super for their first day of poem writing. We worked on their names. We will continue to work on this throughout the week and into next. Our words of the week are because and what. The word family is -un. This is a time to help your child use these words sun, fun, spun, run and have them change only 1 letter when writing them. So they can see the pattern in these words.
In math, we are working on measurement both standard and non standard. Ask them what they learned to day? How can we measure things?
In science, we are working on plant needs. We will explore water and soil.
Wednesday is Library day. This will be out last check out for a couple weeks due to the Book fair.

- Welcome to Mrs. Patz's Fourth Grade Class. This is my 15th year of teaching. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I received my Masters in Educational Administration from Texas A&M Commerce. My husband and I live in this great Frisco community. We are blessed with 3 healthy children.
