We would love your help or come out and join our team, we have so much fun.
I participate in Relay for Life because I want to see an end to cancer during my lifetime!
This will be my seventh year to be involved with Relay for Life. It
has become a passion of mine to raise money for The American Cancer
Society. I have known far too many people in my life that have
battled this HORRIBLE disease.
Most recently our community lost a precious friend mother and wife
Tonia Willis. What a true fighter! She was an amazing person and she
will be forever missed.
My precious family has been touched by cancer far too many times!
We lost my Uncle Donnie McVay. He was a fighter til the end! We miss
you tons Uncle DooDoo! I also lost my aunt Lana Groce. What a kind
and precious woman she was. I'll never forget her singing "Deep and
Wide" to all of us at grandma Groce's house.
Our dear friend Joe Gray WON his battle and is still here with us
providing many laughs along the way!!
My dad fought and won his battle with Hodgkin's Disease before he
suddenly lost his life way too soon. I love you Dad!!
It is Your efforts that will help the American Cancer Society fund
groundbreaking cancer research provide up-to-date cancer information
advocate for all people to have access to screening and treatment and
offer free programs and services to improve the quality of life for
people facing cancer. By being a part of Relay we are joining a
worldwide movement to help defeat cancer for future generations.

We need you
I just signed up for an important event and want to share it with you! Picture yourself walking around a track, surrounded by family and friends, encouraging each other to make another lap, as you celebrate those who’ve fought cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that has taken too much from too many.
This is the scene at every American Cancer Society Relay For Life event, including the one I will be participating in. I’d be honored if you’d be a part of our team.
The money raised through Relay For Life events support the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving work, like Hope Lodge facilities, which offer cancer patients a free place to stay, comfort, and support when they have to travel far from home for treatment.
Too many people, including possibly someone you or I know, will be diagnosed with cancer this year. A Relay For Life event is our opportunity to inspire hope by raising funds and awareness to help those facing the disease. I hope you will join me!
