Hooray! It's Friday!

Your babies had another fabulous week in Kindergarten!  We are already busy learning so much.  On Fridays we celebrate by having a King or Queen for the day.  Today our King for the day was Braden.  We started out the day with a circle map of all the things Braden likes.  He was thrilled to share his favorites with us!

King of the Day

We got to attend our first assembly today.  Crosswalk Talk helped us to remember the important rules while walking on sidewalks and across streets.

They are doing so well with walking down the halls.  "Our eyes are facing forward, we are standing straight and tall.  Put a bubble in our mouth, we're ready for the hall!"

Next, it was time to head outside in the beautiful weather.

Then off to lunch we go!  Pizza day is everyones favorite.

On Friday's we get to have Ms. Lee's 3rd grade class in for Reading buddies.  Today they helped us sort items that can be recycled and those that can't. Then we placed them in our journals.  We are learning how to organize our science journals. 

We were busy being illustrators as we completed both the red song and I love to go to school poem.  We added both to our poetry journal today. 

Ask your child to tell you about the book Brown Bear, Brown Bear book we are making.  They added the red bird today.  We are using different types of art for each character.

Weekend Journals were sent home Friday.  Help your child to add photos or draw photos about his/her weekend.  Enjoy your extra day and see you on Tuesday.
